So, the first trip to the cabin in the new decade is now behind us. Hundreds of pounds of new gear have been hauled up and down:

On my next trip up, I plan to have the new Honda generator transported,The Cinderella that has been in for a service and health check, anda couple of paint cansfor outdoor storage.

Now that I know I’ll need to have some expensive work done this summer—probably involving a roofer—to get the Cinderalla installed properly, I suppose I should probably have some materials delivered over the winter as well.

Upcoming projects:

  • Antenna mount for a mobile antenna and connection to Hyttevokter for remote start of the Wallas stove
  • Installation of a new pipe for the Cinderalla toilet
  • Build a simple firewood box (corrugated metal)
  • outdoor generator enclosure with internal electrical wiring
  • move the batteries to the loft, thereby quadrupling the capacity
  • Install 900W solar panels on the thatched roofwith a clever solution

It makes sense to install solar panels on the roof at the same time as the Cinderella project, I suppose, since the ventilation work requires a roofer, and then I might be able to get some extra help with installing the battens under the turf.
